Drass a place which is not dangerous but also give you goose bump or will make you cold shiver run down your spine.
DRASS
Drass is hill station, in kargil district of a union territory of Ladakh in India.it is often call "Gateway of Ladhak".
Why Drass is so cold?
Drass is a narrow valley at the elevation of 10990 ft. . In the narrow valley chill wind from high mountain enter with high pressure.
What is drass temperature?
Winters are cold with average lows around −20 °C (−4 °F), and as low as −23 °C at the height of winter, which lasts from mid-October to mid-May. Summers start in June and go on up till early September, with average temperatures near 23 °C (74 °F) and little precipitation.
Best time to visit dras?
June – September beginning is the best time to visit Dras. Average temperature during summer hovers around 15 degrees Celsius. While October – April is the time when Dras sleeps underneath a thick coat of snow, which makes it inaccessible and dangerous.
Why Dras Dangerous ?
From october to april, dras is completely covered by snow. Even roads are block. Because of temperature which is (-15) or something its (-23) or so. It become dangerous.

Srinagar railway is nearest to dras, Situated at a distance of 152kms.
From railway station one can hire a cab or bus to reach dras.
And if you are traveling in flight so from srinagar airport known as sheikh ul alam, you can easily hired car or bus to reach dras.
